Mobile Laundry, most of Indians are not familiar with this term, because they either wash at their home or give it to dhobis (washerman). When you consider developed countries, they have launders where more than 10 washing machine are available. Customers take their clothes and wash them there. Detergent, water etc etc are available in shop, charging per wash depends on the owner. Charges are either per wash or per kg based, which varies from location to location.

Start Fountain Soda Business
Earlier I discussed about options of starting Sugarcane business, its investment and running cost, its profit percentage. In this post, I have discussed in detail about starting a flavored soda business. This is also a standalone machine which requires very small space. Soda machine varies in different sizes and we can order based on the size of our shop.
Machine Price: This machine costs from Rs.1 Lakh to Rs.2 Lakh based on the number of flavors requested. When you purchase or make a deal, you should also get details of how many CO2 cylinders are provided along with this machine. Minimum 2 CO2 cylinders are required, one for use and one for refill, this is to avoid business shutdown because of CO2 shortage.
Power Consumption of the machine is around 900-1000watts, so 1unit of electricity is used for operating machine for an hour, which can produce around 500 cups of Soda, assuming 10 seconds for one cup.500 Cups of Soda contains (250ml per cup): 250*500 = 125000 ml (125 Liters) of Soda
| Material | Cost / 500 Cups |
| Mineral Water (Rs.25/20Liters can) | Rs:160.00 |
| Paper Cup (Rs.0.40/cup) | Rs: 200.00 |
| Flavours (Rs:100/Liter and 1gm/cup) | Rs:50.00 |
| CO2 (1.2gm/cup @ Rs.100/kg) | Rs.600.00 |
| Power Consumption (Rs: 10/unit) | Rs:10.00 |
| Total | Rs:1020.00 |
| Total (per cup) | Rs:2.00 |
| Labor + Rent + Miscellaneous charges (per cup) | Rs:0.50 |
So for a cup of soda, real working cost is Rs.2.50 per cup, and based on the shop location, it can be sold for Rs.5 or Rs.7 or Rs.10 even, which is 100% - 300% profit. Let me know if you find this post useful.

Fruit Candy - Small Scale Business Idea
Fruit Candy in India are not very popular, when the big brand players rule the market with their expensive advertisements. Fruit Candies are also called crystallized candies, produced by merging fruits in sugar syrup or honey. When they are submerged fruit absorbs the sweetness and can stay eatable for months, when stored in cold place.
- Prepare sugar syrup (Honey can be healthy alternative) in two concentration, thin and thick.
- Use dry fuits like dry jack or dry fig or dates or dry grapes or amla etc, cut them in to medium pieces
- Soak them in thin sugar syrup for a week, so the fruit absorbs the sweetness
- Cover the sweet soaked fruit with the thick concentration of sugar syrup.
- Leave them to dry to give candy look.

Online Remote Support - 'CrossLoop'
CrossLoop is almost similar to any screen sharing or remote access tool if seen on high level, but its actually not, if you dive deep in to its website. They are pretty much simple in listing their features.
| Screen Share Mode: Both users need to install the cross tab software on their machine, host connects to crossloop server and get a access code which is shared to the target user, who then connects to crossloop server using that access code, ofcourse warning is provided to grant permission to the target user. Once connected, host is ready to share screen, share file of any size, provide remote support or give online training. This basic feature is free to everyone and limited one to one access, this seems to be a disadvantage compared to other screen sharing tools. | |
| Another greatest feature they offer is the language support, they almost support 20+ languages, including HINDI. Click CrossLoop Software to download the application to your PC. | |
| Online Support Mode: This is an awesome feature they provide. Any professional can purchase a license for online support and connect to crossloop server. Once connected they get listed in the Expert's page. If anyone across the wold needs a support from these professional, they can goto Expert's Page, search for the correct expert, look for their pricing/hour, their rating, their reviews and hire them to support you in fixing your issues. This feature seems to be one of its kind which I have not seen till now. | |
| They give an unlimited remote connection sessions and the performance is ultimate. The whole remote session is secured completely with 128 bit encryption. After providing the support CrossLoop provides option to send bill to the customer and get the payments credited to the Expert's account, if the customer does not contact you and if the expert themselves have contacted a customer, then CrossLoop charges the Expert with Self-Referred Rate. | |

Free Online Remote Access - 'showmypc'
Remote Access: A service has to be installed in the PC which needs to be controlled and activated. That's it, you can now take control of this machine anywhere. The target machine used to control needs an application which lists all the remote PC you have registered for, beside every remote machine you have "Connect to PC" to connect to the machine.
Private meetings: Customers can provide remote support, remotely access PCs, conduct meetings and demonstrations online. This is more for corporate who provide customer support and have some dedicated server.
Premium meetings: This is same as private meetings without the need of dedicated server, but only protected with a password.

Free Video Recording - Screenr
Every human has some unique talent, some show it outside and few lack to show it. Some go ahead one step and teach others. Recently I came across a very useful website(Screenr), for online trainers, who can record whatever they do in their PC, while they can talk, which can be recorded in maximum 5 clicks :) sounds easy isnt it. Say you want to show your friends how to apply an effect in photoshop, only thing you need to do is switch on the video recording tool and start using your photoshop as well keep talking what you are doing, once you are done, click done and your video tutorial is ready.
You do not have to go through a complex registration process, if you have google/facebook/twitter/linkedin account, it can be used to login to the application. Screenr also provide webcast, which means live streaming is possible, wonderful isnt it. The free version of Screenr has the basic options for any movie creation and live streaming.
Screenr is also provides a commercial version for corporate who can customize recording, have private sharing, replace company's logo for branding purpose etc. Screenr is the top most tool in this segment accepted by CNet, Mashable, The New York Times etc...

Power of Group Buying
In this fast moving machine world, everyone is busy and doing everything to get they income high to cope up with the increasing prices of everything starting from a pin to a house. Market is so vast and challenging nowadays so every product has to give some offer or the other to increase their sales. By default the first thing a manufacturer thinks is to sell more, so there is always a profit if booked in bulk, this power of group buying is something similar to that.
Groups are formed within our relatives, friends, neighbors, colleagues etc and try to approach a seller for bulk order and share the discount the seller provides between the group equally, this way each one of us is satisfied with the same product with a discount, sounds simple right. Now how many of us implement this in real life, and in what places these are applicable? how often this can be implemented is another question. For any human, grocery is the first expense in monthly list, so why not we try this first within our friends or colleagues or relative initially ?Saturday, July 14, 2012

Auctioned Property - Not everyone's cup of Tea, even cheap
AUCTION PROCESS
Banks issue a public notice in newspapers about the proposed auction and invite bids. The notice includes the details of the property, date, time and venue of the auction, reserve price, and earnest money deposit.
Bidders must submit their applications to the bank quoting their bid amount which should not be less than the reserve price. Along with this, they must pay earnest money deposit which may be around 10% of the reserve price. The auction usually takes place after 30 days from the date of the public notice
- If the borrower settles the dues within 30 days, the auction will not happen and your earnest money deposit will be returned.
- If the auction takes place and you do not win the bid, your earnest money deposit is returned.
- If you win the bid, you will have to pay around 25 per cent of the bid price on the day of the auction. You need to pay the balance amount within the next 15 days or an extended period agreed between you and the bank.
- If you win the bid but do not pay the required amount within the specified periods, you will lose the money paid earlier.
AUCTION INFORMATION SOURCES
- You will need to scan newspapers for announcements by banks regarding such auctions.
- You can contact real estate agents who may have this information.
- Web sites such as http://www.foreclosureindia.com/, http://indiabankauction.com/ http://bankpropertyauction.com/ provide online listings of properties which banks advertise to auction.
In a normal (offline) property auction, bidders gather at the auction venue where their bids are considered. Banks may also allow competitive bidding among the bidders for improving their offers.
CONSIDERATION BEFORE BIDDING
If the auction attracts aggressive bids, the price could go up and dilute the cost advantage. So, it is important that you make an assessment of the market value and bid prudently to get a good deal. Also, to be on the safer side, it is better to check the property documents before deciding to bid, or engage a lawyer to verify the title.
Also expenses on any repairs, renovation, unpaid property taxes, electricity dues and statutory liabilities will have to be borne by the buyer. The buyer also has to bear other expenses such as stamp duty and registration fees. So, do a proper inspection to assess the true cost of owning the property.

Coffee or Tea ? Switch to Healthy Alternative
70% of human beings wake up with a cup of coffee or tea, but did we think whether it is healthy? The caffine content, the aroma addicts us to have it more, simply like a alcohol. We should be thinking and switch to a alternative drink every day to be fit and healthy, because health is one thing which we cannot buy in this world, one good example is Steve Jobs, who is capable of buying anything and everything, but not his health.
